Abstract

The construction of the NEXUS research vehicle at the University of Saskatchewan is outlined. This fuel efficient single passenger prototype features a lightweight aerodynamic composite body, a crashworthy welded aluminum space- frame, and a unique three- wheel suspension. The construction procedures described will be of value to research groups contemplating the development of NEXUS type commuter cars in their own establishments.
