Abstract

The continuous autoflow pedestrian crossing is an ergonomic design for areas where pedestrians and cars compete at a high level and where the road width and the number of available lanes would most ideally be compatible with the system, such that any narrowing of traffic is offset by their allowing the flow to be non-stop. The advantages of this system are discussed.
