Continuous tracking with a head-up presentation in automobile driving.

Abstract

A head-up display was used to present continuous information to the driver as to headway between vehicles during car following. This experiment indicates that a continuous display of headway can lead to safer and smoother traffic by equalizing differences in car-following performance between drivers.
