Abstract
Local and regional bicycle advocate groups have been established in Australia for just over ten years. The groups have played a significant role in creating awareness by local, state and federal governments of the need for improved bicycle safety and continue to play the vital role. They have an important input of knowledge and experience into all aspects of bicycle safety programs.
