Abstract

The relatively poor quality of data available on the indicator traditionally used in safety research did not allow for proper understanding of the unsafety phenomenon, and new"valid"indicators were therefore wanted. New concepts of validation based on the comparison of the predictive values of different indicators was adopted. A need for comparisons between indicators in different countries is expressed. This is the result of the discussion, summarized here in French and English.
