Abstract

Some of the possibilities to reduce the traffic noise in built-up urban areas are described. These are: change of the noise from a single vehicle; regulation of the traffic on noise; increased distance between road and dwelling; screening and suitable placing of buildings; and improved isolation of the front of the dwelling.
