Abstract

The noise emission of motor vehicles is essentially determined by 1) engine noise; 2) exhaust noise; 3) tire contact noise and 4) wind noise. Improvements are given to reduce the noise emission from engines, in particular for radiator fan, transmission, gear noise, mechanical noise and combustion noise.
