Abstract

This Report describes the instrumentation and test procedure used in controlled vehicle impact investigations at the Road Research track at Crowthorne, Berkshire. The purpose of these investigations is to obtain information on the forces arising in collisions and the deformation of the vehicle structure. This is needed in designing safer vehicles and better protection for their occupants.
