Abstract

Eightheen bituminous used on two premix-surfacing experiments were analysed according to a chemical precipitation method and were also examined in terms of the critical penetration ductility relationship. The results of the study suggest that though the type of premix used affects the weathering rate of the bituminous, the overriding factor determining durability is their chemical composition.
