Abstract

It is concluded used that, in the present state of the affairs, the currently used cost-benefit concept is partly unsuited to the needs and that it is necessary, in the vehicle/safety sphere, to seek other appraisal procedures. It seems advisable to develop on the basis of the values of the present cost of human life, comparative studies of the various possible safety measures.
