Abstract
The efforts that are being made by manufacturers to cut the likelihood of serious injuries to driver and passengers, and to anyone hit by a car, when an accident happens, are listed. Overall, there has been an improvement in safety designs over the years. The government has laid down rules covering many of the potentially hazardous parts of the car, although there are still gaps.
