Abstract

Although you can do little to prevent other drivers becoming stressed at the wheel, you can avoid actions that might trigger conflict by being courteous yourself. It costs nothing to be polite and if you do make an error of judgement an apology can usually difuse the situation and avoid confrontation. 'Courtesy on the road' is produced with the help of the Campaign for Courtesy and explains how to reduce your own stress while driving and presents a succinct courtesy driving code.
