The CPSC road test of bicycle braking performance experimental evaluation.

Abstract

Brake performance criteria as part of a mandatory regulation on bicycle safety requirements are evaluated. Fifteen bicycles were tested. A mathematical adjustment of the actual test speed of the bicycle to 24 km/h is necessary before the weight allowance can be made to the stopping distance in the evaluation of these test.
