Abstract

A procedure, inspired in part by the almost universally accepted AIS procedure for injury coding, has been proposed for quantitatively coding the impact of the contributory elements in the pre-crash phase of an automobile accident, utilizing the qualitative evaluations of experienced accident investigation in a consistent, normalized manner.
