Abstract

The present article deals with tests carried out on tanks made of nonmetallic materials which display excellent resistance to shocks. Some specimens of such materials were dropped from a tower in two different manners. Subsequently, the materials that resisted this treatment well, were utilized for construction of full-size experimental tanks for liquid fuels. The article illustrates some of the methods used and the results secured in the course of the experiments planned.
