Abstract

A comprehensive program of full-scale automobile crash tests of highway appurtenances and evaluations of their performance was conducted. Testing was conducted in accordance with fundamental requirements of NCHRP Report 153, 2250 and 4500-Ib automobiles were used. The program reported herein was conducted to evaluate certain pieces of hardware, and to provide data for validation of theory and correlation with laboratory tests.
