Abstract

The light weight concrete Heli Cell energy absorbing gore barrier has been tested to demonstrate its capability to stop light cars without excessive G-loads, and to fender standard size automobiles when impacted at speeds between 58 and 68 m.p.h.. Fendering test involving the standard size cars have been successfully performed without destroying the unit's head-on capability.
