Abstract

GST (Global System for Telematics) is an EU-funded Integrated Project which is developing interfaces (protocols and APIs) for the creation of an open Telematics Market (cf. [1]). This should empower the development and deployment of services "bundles" combining e-safety services and new, attractive, valuable services in the automotive environment. The GST S-PAY (Service Payment) subproject is adding a flexible payment mechanism within GST to support the payment of telematics services from end users for their exact use. S-PAY is aiming at specification, implementation and evaluation ofthe GST payment framework which provides open, common services and interfaces supporting different kinds of telematics applications. Assessment of the S-PAY results will be achieved by testing the reference implementations and through validation on Test Sites using various, representative applications scenarios.
