Abstract

There is many critic directed against the Risk Homeostasis Theory. This paper focuses upon those issues that appear to be the most crucial in those critics, the question of empirical verifiability, testing the theory on new data, the strength of counterevidence, the relation to conventional utility theory, questions of modelling and aggregation, and the nature of homeostasis and how it is maintained.
