Abstract

Past, current and proposed formulations which express the crush energy of irregular and oblique collision deformations, based on tests with regular and normal deformations, are reviewed in the context of single-event (forensic) reconstruction. Improvements in energy and delta-V valuation, beyond that needed for statistical studies of multiple events, are possible and available. (A)
