Abstract

The application of the principles of Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) for the planning of street networks is a still-evolving area of study. This paper presents one such application under development in the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The system planning process in development in Minneapolis is a multi-modal approach to network planning that uses a street and place type framework to plan the street network in the city.
