Abstract

Research has shown that not adjusted speed behaviour partly can be explained by an inadequate risk perception and a too big risk willingness. Besides motives as pleasure in driving fast and a putative saving of journey time play a role. The most important background of such speed behaviour can be summarised as incorrect mentality. This can be adjusted by a certain education with accent on influencing the mentality, modifying the attitude and showing the responsibility for other road users.
