Abstract

This article describes a new device for reducing wind drag on tractor-trailer combinations announced by Airshield. Known as Root Fairing it is similar in basic design to the company's already well known wind deflector. Both are designed for mounting on the cab roof in order to reduce the aerodynamic drag of the vehicle thereby also reducing the fuel consumption.
