Abstract

Recently, many countries issued ITS national architectures that are appropriate for their inherent transportation environment. These set out the architecture to design not just the transport systems but also standards with ISO guidance. A key factor is compatibility with international standards. This paper reviews the ITS architecture method of each country and looks at the design policy to meet ISO ITS architecture. It focuses on CVO (commercial vehicle operations) among the many ITS fields in leading countries such as USA, Japan, EU and Korea and applies the Korean CVO architectures.
