Abstract

This short article discusses whether a law should be passed to make the use of cycle helmets mandatory. The available evidence which indicates that the use of either cycle or motorcycle helmets decrease fatalities is critically evaluated. The likelihood of a law being obeyed, even if passed, is also discussed briefly.
