Abstract

Canberra's cyclepath system is based on segregated cycle-paths, and more than 100 kilometres of trunk routes have been constructed. Locations alongside watercourses and water features are common. Flood prone areas can quickly become hazardous in rainy weather, and several design measures have been adopted to protect cyclists and ensure adequate warnings are given of potentially hazardous situations.
