Abstract
The existence of road legislation specifically aimed at the safety of the cyclist is known to few people. This legislation on the one hand makes provision for certain rights of the cyclist, but on the other hand it imposes specific duties. In this manual cyclists are not only informed about road traffic legislation directly affecting them, they are also given practical hints on safer road usage.
