Abstract
Integration of telematic platforms in vehicles means adaptation of already installed electric and electronic components. Along with different sensor systems like crash detection or speed metering, the connection to wireless communication and car entertainment systems is a basic need. The D2B optical bus offers the integration of those systems in an efficient way and satisfies the needs for a noiseless and flexible in-vehicle communication as well as the needs for a flexible system design. Customer's value can be saved by modularity and a possible system extension not only in the after sales market but also in OEM solutions.
