Abstract

JustNu (translated Right Now) is SLs (SL common short form for AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, translated Greater Stockholm Public Transportation Authority) main focus project to provide the Public Transportation operations four transport types (buses, local trains, metro and commuter trains) in the Greater Stockholm area with real time traffic information and data. The main purpose is to provide traffic information on SL transport services to all customers. This means to provide real-time reliable and easilyaccessible traffic information and data, before and during the journey tothe traveler, so the traveler can plan and travel the entire journey withSL. The project will deliver traffic information so that: (1) staff concerned will have constant access to the latest and current traffic information formatted to fit the staffs system view and pre-understanding; (2) thetraveler shall be able to access accurate real-time traffic information regardless of time and place and the information given should be correct, current, and easy to understand and use; (3) the traveler shall be able to access traffic information before and during the journey and the traffic information should be accessible through different channels; (4) like the web, mobile, bus terminal and stop signs, journey planner, printed timetable, etc.; (5) the traffic information should also be customer-adapted to different needs like for disable travelers with support for voice support onsigns, journey planner with voice recognition, etc.; and (6) the travelerin an event of possible disruption in whole or part of the journey or, SLwill be able to provide information that gives the traveler the chance tore-plan and continue the journey with SL same or other transport types.
