Abstract

In the Federal Republic of Germany many traffic accidents occur in which child pedestrians are involved. It has been shown that there can be not trusted fully on the traffic education by the parents and on the school. The safety of the children on the road depends for a great part on the behaviour of the driver. Therefore the responsibility of the driver instructor is focused. Recommendations for driver training in relationships with the prevention of child traffic accidents are given.
