Abstract

(A) Abstract in English: The number of electronic control units in cars has increased rapidly in recent years. New functions such as lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and heading control are pushing overall electronics complexity. In addition, future by-wire systems such as brake- and steer-by-wire, and electronic vehicle dynamics control demand high levels of dependability. Consequently, the electronics architecture is crucial to the development roadmap of car manufacturers and their suppliers. The Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP) is designed specifically to meet these requirements. (Author/publisher)
