Abstract

This paper presents a review of known data, statistical results and models for one-way homogeneous multi-lane traffic flow, together with suggestions for some new models and a discussion of the various statistics whose values we would like to measure. The most glaring deficiency in the present state of the art is an adequate data base and some reasonable statistical procedures.
