Data requirements in transportation planning for urban disadvantaged.

Abstract

Present data sources used in urban transportation planning are inadequate to provide necessary data on the disadvantaged segment of the urban population. The use of several social welfare data bases are suggested. The prime element is small-area identification of specific types of disadvantaged persons and local constraints.
