Abstract

New data transfer method and address management system with TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) over DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) was studied. The agent program described can reliably manage data transfer in the DSRC environment without interruption and with a minimal number of re-transfers on the TCP layer. It was possible to obtain a data transfer rate of about 270 kbits. The new address management system is quicker than ordinary DHCP. The effectiveness of these technologies was demonstrated in an attendant-less parking lot experiment. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
