Abstract

A task force is needed to create a governmental awareness of the strategic benefits to the individual user of database supported Transport Telematics applications for the public use. Next, governmental commitment to the implementation of the selected applications is required, capitalizing on the private sector investment in database production. Long term views need to be developed to lead Transport Telematics out of the laboratory towards real life. (A)
