Abstract

The potential of combining available information about accidents from various existing sources are accounted for by giving three examples. They concern the combination of police data about accidents with medical data concerning injuries and medical treatments, alcohol test data and, finally, information from crime records. The procedure requires personal identification numbers and vehicle registration numbers. The Swedish experiences of combining information are, so far, very good.
