Abstract

Headlight - daylight test sections, in general, appear to be effective in reducing accident rates and the severity of accidents on two-way conventional highways. However, on an individual section of such highways, accident rates and accident severity may not change but even increase after implementing a daylight test section. The factor or factors influencing accident occurrence on daylight test sections have not been identified.
