The settlement of the justice of offences against the parking regulations in the Netherlands are described on the hand of 879 cases in four district courts. 73.4% of the cases were settled by the so-called OM-transaction. In such cases the judge fixes the penalty without a session of the court and the offender can accept the monetary penalty. 25.5% of the cases were settled in a session of the court and only 4.4% of the cases were dismissed due to lack of evidence.
