The dutch government is trying to achieve a lower rate of unemployment. Reducing the number of hours people have to work (ATV) is a possibility to create new jobs.Especially for categories of people who want to work but are out of work for different reasons. One of those categories are (married) women. The National Travel Survey datamaterial is used to analyse the activity patterns of (working) women. The influence of labour force participation is studied.
