Subjective aspects of mobility. Subjective aspects of mobility are an underrated theme in research and policy. We know how often people move from one place to the other, which distances they cover, which mode of transport they use and at what times they move. But the experiences they have, and the appreciation and emotions related to their movements are unknown. Last year the Transport Research Center of Rijkswaterstaat and the Social and Cultural Planning Office of the Netherlands commissioned a quantitative research, in which is given an overview of subjective aspects of the dutch population. This paper summarizes some first results from the research. (Author/publisher) Nederlands abstract: Subjectieve aspecten van mobiliteit vormen een onderbelichte thematiek in onderzoek en beleid. Er is wel bekend hoevaak Nederlanders onderweg zijn, welke afstanden ze afleggen, waarheen, met welk vervoermiddel en op welk tijdstip. Maar over de ervaringen, waarderingen en emoties waarmee dit gepaard gaat is veel minder bekend. Op initiatief van Rijkswaterstaat Adviesdienst Verkeer en Vervoer en het Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau is in het voorjaar van 2005 een onderzoek uitgezet dat de mobiliteitsbeleving van Nederlanders vanuit diverse invalshoeken in beeld brengt.
