Abstract
The care of the government as the administrator of the road has many facets, like homogeneity, continuity, planning, location, administration and maintenance. To the signalization certain conditions can be required, acquaintancy, notability, orientation and indication, legibility and interpretation, integration in the road design and continuity. Each of these conditions is described. International, juridical and economical aspects are given.
