Abstract
A study has been made to the use and experience of the Binckhorsttunnel in the Hague. This tunnel for pedestrian cyclists and moped-drivers gave causes for complaints. In particular feelings of danger and insecurity from the user were the main reasons for this study. Recommendations for safer environment by technical improvements in the design, the accessibility. The illumination and maintenance are presented. A regular surveillance by the police is also recommended.
