Abstract
Improvement of the ergonomics of lorry cabins is one of the possibilities to improve the working situation of lorry drivers. Therefore, a questionnaire was send out to 7000 lorry drivers, from which 3321 have responded the questionnaire. Questions on ergonomics were on the entrance of the cabin, comfort of the seat, operation, steering wheel, space and provisions, climate, noise, vision and lighting of the interior, vibration, safety, maintenance and cleaning, on board computer, and the sleepingplace. The results of the study can support the development of a test protocol for lorry cabins and the further development of specifications.
