Cyclists and moped drivers from 12 to 20 years old are very vulnerable in traffic as is shown by many accident data. From the 1978 fatal accidents in which 406 cyclist were killed 106 were 12 to 20 years old. This is 23%. From the moped fatal accidents this number was even 60%. A study of these accidents has shown that in many cases carelessness, slovenliness or love of case, in particular in not giving priority in cutting corners and not giving or not timely giving direction signs, are the most common causes of these accidents.
