Abstract

Results of a small-scale field experiment on the influence of speed choice of car drivers in blind curves are presented. Drivers were informed at two locations by roadside posters and at two other locations they received personal mailing letters. Both the posters and the letters resulted in a significant speed reduction. However, the opinions and attitudes of drivers remained unchanged.
