Abstract

Results of the study show that on a road section with an uneven road surface following on a section with an even surface the speed of cars decrease with an average of 5%. On the contrary there is no modification in speed if cars drive from an uneven to an even road texture. At the construction of a new surfacing on a road after a certain time of habituation an increase in speed may be expected.
