In order to gain a more clear understanding of the effectiveness of diverse measurements to control the driving speed of car drivers on road with an important flow-function within a built-up area, two experiments have been performed in the city of Amsterdam. In both experiments, the measurements consisted of rumble strips across the road and police enforcement. In the second experiment, there was also made use of collective feedback of speed-information to the road user.
