Abstract
Motorcycling is difficult, highly influenced by pavement characteristics and is different for each motorcycle. Inexperienced and experienced riders rode some tests to compare two motorcycles. In these tests manoeuvrability, steering behaviour and ease of control were compared. The performance on the tests was poorer for the inexperienced than for the experienced riders and did not improve after some trials. Steer angle measurements and judgements of the riders showed the influence of different parameters and pavement disturbances.
