A disadvantage of the present transportation models for public transport companies (in this case the Netherlands Railways) is the form, in which the results are available, i.c. loadings per link. The quality of the timetable of a relation depends on the weighed mean values, that are defined by means of calculated chances, of each of the timetable characteristics. The calibration of the modal-split-models will have to determine the relative importance of each of these characteristics.
