Abstract

While tracing out tram, bus train routes a choice has often to be made from a series of possibilities. A mathematical optimalization model, with which the accessibility of a public transport line is checked against the operating costs of that provision, can render useful services. It is shown that a count-off algorithm for the so-called Simple Plant Location Problem proves to be very useful in the transportation context.
